MASTERS STOCK CATEGORY CRITERIA

THE MASTERS STOCK CATEGORY IS INTENDED TO PROMOTE PARTICIPATION BY ORDINARY SHOOTERS USING PRODUCTION-GRADE HANDGUNS READILY AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT COMMON LOCAL RETAIL OUTLETS.

1. Sportsman's Class competitors only.

2. All guns must be factory-produced Items, In an annual manufactured quantity of at least 2,000 units, and must meet all THE MASTERS' overall criteria for factors of configuration, weight, length, caliber, safety, etc; for the Events In which they are usestockd. Variations of manufacturers' ongoing factory-produced general models will be considered as part of parent-model production quantities; provided that the specific. variation itself is produced in an annual quantity, of at least 500 units.

3. All guns must remain In box-stock condition as factory-produced. Any replacement parts, including grips, must be of the same dimension and configuration as the original factory equipment. Firearms purchased previous to the Inception of these rules may be used; provided that any aftermarket accessories or features added t6 such guns correspond to current or previously available factory-produced models or variations from the same manufacturer that would otherwise meet the Stock Category criteria.

4. It is permissible to "tune" a gun's function, provided that nothing but original factory dimension and configuration parts are employed. Removal of parts is allowed.

5. Optical sights may be employed on only two of the three handguns used In the overall MASTERS match. Optical sights and sight mounts must be in their original, factory-production form, and not be configured In any way to provide any other function than sights and sight mounts.

6. The total of the manufacturers' current recommended retail prices for all three of the handguns used in the overall Masters match, added together In sum, not Including the price of any optical sights and mounts, may not exceed $3,000.

7. Challenges to the suitability of any competitor's equipment in the Stock Category must be presented to the Match Director, In writing, before the close of competition on the day of the occurrence. Such protest shall be accompanied by a fee of $100.00 cash, which shall be refunded If the protest Is upheld. The protest fee for protests not upheld is forfeit to THE MASTERS

8. The burden of proof of suitability of Stock Category equipment is upon the user of such equipment. Decisions regarding the suitability of equipment used in the Stock Category will be made by THE MASTERS Match Director or his Designate. No appeal or protest of the Match Director or Designate's decisions regarding Stock Category acceptability is allowed.
